Employers in Colorado must file Form W-2 with the state in addition to federal filing only if there is a state withholding to report.

DR 1093 is an Annual Reconciliation of Colorado Income Tax Withheld for reporting the total tax amount withheld from an employee’s paycheck.
Colorado requires DR 1093 along with the
Form W-2.
3. Colorado Form W-2 Filing Deadline
The deadline for filing both Form W-2 and Annual Transmittal of State W-2 Forms DR 1093 with the Colorado state is January 31st, 2021.
