Employers in Iowa must file Form W-2 with the state in addition to federal filing only if there is a state withholding to report.
As an employer in the state of Iowa, you must file
- Form W-2 - Wage and Tax Statements
- Form 44-007 - Iowa Withholding Annual VSP Report
2. Iowa Form 44-007 Withholding Annual
VSP Report
Form 44-007 is a Annual Withholding Reconciliation Statement for reporting the total tax amount withheld from an employee’s paycheck.
Iowa doesn’t require Form 44-007 along with the Form W-2.
3. Iowa Form W-2 Filing Deadline
The deadline for filing both Form W-2 filing and Iowa Withholding Annual VSP Report Form 44-007 with the Iowa state is February 01, 2021.

4. Iowa Form W-2 Penalty
